ISSUE — Military

leave a comment »

The issue is

— how large a military does the United States need?

—  how much money should be spent on the military?

People see the issue as

—  it is a waste of money better spent on other programs

OR

—  the United States must have a strong military to protect American interests

A few facts:

—  terrorism is continuing to grow more widespread

—  the United States and its people are a prime terrorist target

—  there are more and more rogue states

—  rogue states see the United States as their enemy

Some questions:

—  do people understand the danger to the United States and the world from terrorists and rogue states?

—  it is really a trade-off between military spending and other programs?

—  are military dollars being spent wisely?

—  how much of protecting the rest of the world is the responsibility of the United States?  Acting as the world’s policeman?

—  do people realize just how corrupt and worthless the United Nations is?

Some people feel the United States is the problem.

Others want isolation for the United States.

Some level of military is a MUST.

The management of military resources needs great improvement.

DEFINITION — democratic party voter

leave a comment »

democratic party voter(dpv)  —  an individual who is votes for democratic party candidates.

These individuals are

—  members of a special interest group

—  lowquals

—  freeloaders

—  stupid

—  hypocrit “liberals”

The democratic party politicians buy votes with government handouts.

The democratic party is the enemy of

—  the middle class

—  hard working individuals

—  honorable individuals

—  real/true Americans

America would be much improved without the democratic party.

Democracy — Mob Rule

leave a comment »

Is democracy nothing more than mob rule?

Mob rule like in a lynch mob.

Where the majority of voters terrorize any minority group of voters?

Where individual rights get trampled?

What if the majority is

—  stupid

—  incompetent

—  evil

Should any such majority be allowed to make decisions for the nation?

Elected Representatives

leave a comment »

What is the responsibility of elected representatives?

Three options:

—  do what the constituents want

—  do what is best for their constituents

—  do what is best for the nation

Anything else is corruption.

The quality of elected representatives is poor.

With with few exceptions, they are totally incompetent.

Given the incompetence and corruption of elected representatives, is direct democracy the solution?

In direct democracy, citizens vote on laws not elected representatives.

It is very doubtful direct democracy would be any better.

Voters are just as selfish and incompetent as elected representatives.

Should Everyone Be Allowed to Vote?

leave a comment »

Everyone assumes everyone should be allowed to vote.

Why?

Because The Constitution says so.

Is that good enough?

Is everyone qualified to vote?

What if people vote for something that is stupid?

What if people vote for something that is evil?

What if the majority is stupid and/or evil?

Should the majority of voters be allowed to terrorize the minority?

Think long and hard about these questions.

Voter Stupidity: Party Affiliation

leave a comment »

Almost all of a definable segment of society belongs to one political party.

Reasonable as most of the segment has a lot in common.

Here are the stupidity factors:

—  the party does not support what is most important to the segment.

—  the character of the segments is vastly different than a majority of party members.

—  the segment is not bound to the party by race, religion or nationality of origin.

—  the party does not support what these people believe in.

Why does this segment belong to that political party?

Because their allegiance to that particular party is based upon logic/reasoning.

It is based upon irrational emotion.

This is STUPID.

Assumptions Inherent in Democracy

leave a comment »

There are many assumptions inherent in democracy.

Here are these assumptions:

—  voters are

intelligent enough to understand the issues

educated enough to understand the issues

analytical enough to analyze the issues

informed on the issues

—  voters will vote for what is

fair to ALL

best for the nation

—  everyone should be allowed to participate in choosing and replacing the government

How many of these assumptions valid?

Are any of them valid?
