ISSUE — Lack of Government Accountability

with 4 comments

Government at all levels is a big failure.

Government

—  wastes resources, both time and money

—  errors of omission; does not accomplish what needs doing

—  errors of commission; does wrong things

—  does harm to its residents

—  holds back the country

And how is government held accountable for its failures and mistakes?

It is NOT held accountable.

How does government make up for the harm it does to the nation?

It does not fix its mistakes/failures.

Instead, government lies and makes excuses.

Government MUST be held accountable for its actions.

Both politicians and employees.

Harsh, stern accountability.

The facts no one wants to read.

Comments and referrals to this blog would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Accountability will come with proper representation. Our politicians are beholden to powerful interests, who won’t hold government accountable because government works in their favor. Only after extensive campaign finance reform that limits contributions will individuals be represented equally, at which point accountability will be a natural product of our democracy -the way it always should.

    • Campaign finance is just a symptom of the problem. The problem is the lack of intelligent active citizens.

      • The lack of intelligent active citizens is a symptom of our education system being run with the interests of the teacher’s unions, a multimillion dollar lobby, being put ahead of the interests of the students. Another perfect example of money influencing policy and I believe the most important reason for it to change.
